SIE Ready

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 5, 2026

The short version

Savvy SIE is an exam-preparation app for FINRA's Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam. Your progress is saved in your own browser, on your device. Signing in is optional and only needed for the Savvy SIE Pass: if you sign in, we keep your email address and what you bought. We do not sell or share personal information.

Who we are

Savvy SIE (the "App", at savvysie.com) is built and operated by Maniot Ventures. Questions about privacy: [email protected].

What stays on your device

Your progress (lessons finished, practice results, missed questions to review, streaks, your study plan and test date, settings) is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not sent to us. If you clear your browser's site data, uninstall the installed app or use a private window, that progress is gone, and we cannot restore it because we never had it.

The App also keeps a service-worker cache of its own files so it opens quickly and works offline. That cache contains the App's code and content, not information about you.

What we do not do

Signing in and the Savvy SIE Pass

You only need to sign in to buy the Savvy SIE Pass or to use it on another device. You sign in with a 6-digit code we email you; there is no password. When you do, we keep:

Your study progress still stays on your device. Codes and receipts are sent by our email provider, Resend. Accounts and purchases are stored on Cloudflare, which hosts the App.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. From Stripe we receive the amount and currency paid, a payment reference and the email you typed at checkout, and we keep them with your account as the record of your purchase. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what Stripe keeps.

Information our host sees

Like any website, the servers that deliver the App (our hosting provider) receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and may keep it briefly in server logs for security and reliability. We do not use it to identify you.

Links to other sites

Guides link to primary sources such as finra.org, sec.gov, msrb.org and irs.gov, and the share buttons open WhatsApp, X or LinkedIn only if you tap them. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Video suggestions inside lessons open YouTube, which is subject to Google's policies.

Children

The SIE is open to people 18 or older, and the App is intended for adults preparing for it. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If this changes

If we add syncing or anything else that sends data to us, we will update this policy before it goes live and say clearly what is collected and why. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Your choices

You can delete everything the App has stored at any time; see how to delete your data. To see or delete your account (your email and purchase record), write to [email protected] from the address you signed in with. Deleting an account ends its Savvy SIE Pass.

SIE is administered by FINRA; Savvy SIE is not affiliated with or endorsed by FINRA. Savvy SIE is exam preparation only and is not investment, legal or tax advice.
